I know I know, this is asked like 10 million times a day :) I never thought I would ask but I'm curious as to what you ladies think. My sons (almost 3 and 6mths) have followed the same growth span. Both EBF for 1st 5.5 mths until we start playing with real food, all homemade. This time around I got my period back a month and half earlier than my first son. When we went in for his 6 month checkup my 6mth old had only gained 4 ozs in 2 months. Of course, I start to panic a bit. I know when I get my period my crazy supply shoots down but I didn't think it was that bad. When the pedi came to check him over, said he looked great and then I told him my concern. He looked at me confused and said, "What? do you think he's wasting away, he's 18 lbs!, he just had a plateu is all" Of course, settled me down. But I just wanna make sure he has a decent weight gain next time around. I only offer solids twice a day, always immediately following breastfeeding, and only what he wants to eat, so usually he only wants around 2-3 ozs of what I'm giving him. I've started him on yogurt (which he loves) and right now is only eating butternut squash and sweet potato. He doesn't seem to like avocado, which stinks bc my 1st son loved it so I made a bunch of frozen cubes this time around. Anyways, any suggestions would be helpful. I don't think my supply is terrible bc he has the proper amount of diapers a day and I've been pumping out about 4=6 ozs a morning (during his feeding) and i can always shoot it out. Hitting all milestones, and he was 8lbs 10ozs at birth. Currently 18lbs at 6mths-thanks!!!!!!!

Yep yep yep. He should only be double his birthweight at six months, triple at one year.

CHANGE NOTHING. He's PERFECT. Nurse first, soilids after and NEVER look at his weight again unless diopes and milestones are not in place. I do mean never!
Google and read "Look at the baby, not the scale." You'll never watch his weight again.

He's gorgeous. Nothing needs fixing so DON'T break it.
