Okay so, blood dripping down my nipples is not fun to see. The other day my son drew on the right and today he got the left. Pumping and BF is starting to really hurt b/c of this. My father said, "Oh, time to put him on the bottle." Which I did not find amusing.
Any suggestions on how to stop this behaviour?
My daughter is only 3 months old and is ebf but a big fear of mine is when she gets teeth and can bite... Everyone I have talker to about this says when she bites to gently flick her cheak. this will let her know she is not to do that. of course dont do it hard just enough to startle a little
when my first would bite, i would tell him "NO", and remove him from the breast for 5 minutes. it hurt like hell when he did it, but after a few times of interrupted meals, he learned not to bite. he started getting teeth around 7 months, and we nursed until he was 13 months. thankfully, my 2nd didn't get teeth until i stopped nursing altogether, again around 13 months.

This is a great reply. I totally agree! Interrupted meals are not a favorite of hungry babies. **SMILES**

Mine bit me very little, but when she temped to, I would pull her away, sit her up and say "you can't bite mommy! It hurts" She knew what she was doing because she would look at me and smile! (this was when she was like 10 or 11 months) But that seemed to work since she is a boobaholic!
