How much solids?

How much solids is ok for my six and a half month old?  I feed him once a day usually, though I'm not super strict with it. I always nurse within an hour before feeding him any solids. I make all my own baby food and I wasn't sure how much to give him? He will eat like1/2 cup even after nursing but should he be eating that much? Also I've been feeding him banana, avacado, sweet potato, peas, zucchini, apple, and rice, what else do you suggest for a baby his age?

I'm a baby wearing, exclusively breastfeeding, non-circumcising, non-vaccinating, co-sleeping, homeschooling, extended breastfeeding, extended rear facing, first time mommy to Taegan Illiam Grey, born July 10 2009.
