Colostrum Question

Ok, I'm sure that this is fine and I am probably going to sound crazy, but when I was pregnant with my daughter I started leaking colostrum around 31 weeks-especially at night. I would wake up soaked! lol But I am now 34 weeks pregnant with my second and still have yet to see anything at all. I'm pretty sure it's probably there, but I am getting a little concerned because I plan to exclusively breast feed...so it's pretty important that my milk comes in! Haha

So, can you ladies help ease my concerns?

no worries. I actually never leaked during pregnancy. My colostrum/milk came in AFTER I had the baby. I guess everyone is different.

I think "normal" is different with each pregnancy! :)  My colostrum never leaked until I delivered with all three of mine.

It's there, even if you don't see it! I didn't leak with my son til in labor and never with my twins, each time made loads of milk. Your mature milk won't come in until after you deliver the placenta and have a sudden drop in progesterone. Some women never leak even after their mature milk comes in and they breastfeed exclusively with no trouble at all. =)

I leaked a lot during my first pregnancy, starting in the second trimester. He ended up not breastfeeding.

I didn't leak at all during my second pregnancy. She's been breastfeeding for coming up on 10 months, never had a bottle since the first week in the NICU.

Leakage during pregnancy has nothing to do with ability to breastfeed. :)

Leaking during pregnancy means nothing other then....more laundry.
