My "main boob" started to get very sore about 5 days ago, not my nipple but my whole breast. Well sense yesterdat everytime my DD latches on it feels like shes trying to suck glass through my nipple. It hurts so bad it makes my toes curl. It lasts about 2 minutes or so until she starts getting a good flow. Than it doesnt hurt anymore.

I know its not her latch, I just dont know why this is happening! :(

nak....is she teething? Are your nipples red?  I always got sore when he was teething but it also sounds like it could be thrush too.

Shes not teething, dd is only 4 weeks old. And we dont have a problem with my other breast, accept its my little one. lol. My nipple isnt red. It started out my whole breast was sore for days, now it just really hurts when she latches on and for about 2 minutes afterwards. Until shes got a good flow.

Oh I didn't realise she was that little. As long as you know the latch is good & are sure you don't have a breast infection then it could be normasl. With ds I had a correct latch & still had breath holding toe curling pain until 6 weeks.

I've been told if it's red or warm. I'll let someone else answer because i do not know.
