Weaning help, down to nursing 1x a day

My son is down to nursing 1x a day and I need help getting him off that last feeding, which takes place in the morning. How can I do this w/o running the risk of getting mastitis? Do skip the morning feeding every other day and then put more days into between to wean him completely? do i start taking sage pills? I'm confused.  TIA!

By the time my son dropped his last nursing, I didn't feel it at all. I think my production was down so much it wasn't a big deal for my body to adjust.

I didn't wean DS off his last feeding, he did it himself, so I don't have any advice on dropping that last one.  Good luck with it though.  :)

No wrong way to go when you get to this point. You can go ahead and just drop that last feeding. Cabbage leaves in your bra if you get engorged. With the small amount of nursing you're doing, it's likely you won't notice a thing.
