Too much?

I'm just curious....can a baby breastfeed too much?  My little one is 7 and 1/2 months.  I am a teacher and have just started summer break. So  I have been away during the days for a while.  Is it normal that my baby wants to eat more now that I am home?  Can she overeat on breast milk or should I just keep feeding her on demand?

Thanks!

They cannot breastfeed too much!! Let her feed on demand! Enjoy it!

Oh, and don't forget, she can also be just enjoying the fact that you're available now, and nursing for comfort. :)

A baby can NOT be overfed from the breast. It might also be her comfort nursing to be closer to you since you're around more.

I agree with PP. My DS always nursed alot on weekends when I was home. They just miss us =)

Same as the above... mine goes to daycare, so when I get home he nurses like there's no tomorrow - literally all night sometimes!
