Grown-ups, not ot

So I took my son to see The Karate Kid today(which was really good btw) and they had a preview for the movie Grown-ups with Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Kevin James, Rob Schneider and David Spade. In the preview they have a clip where the wife of Kevin James has their son come up and ask to nurse and then everyone asks how old he is, he says 48 months and then someone says he's 4! So needless to say I won't be watching the movie now like I planned because that bit totally turned me off to the whole movie. BOO! It starts at 42-43 seconds in.

Or you won't watch it because they portray nursing a 4 year old as negative?

I am nursing my 3 1/2 year old twins and I don't think that's funny, it will piss me off to watch it so rather than get myself upset I just won't watch the movie. I am sure they don't show the full part in the preview so I don't know how much worse it gets than that.

Then you can get over this post and move on. It's a post on a bf board.

I know alot of people who believe in extended breastfeeding and figured some may feel like I do and would rather avoid having to see it.

Knowing you, that's what I figured.  ;)

I saw the preview too...I just rolled my eyes.  It's designed to make someone who breastfeeds a preschooler look like either an idiot or deranged.  You rarely see breastfeeding portrayed positively in a movie.

I know! It drives me nuts and then whoever would be with me would have to hear me complain about it for God knows how long. I would rather not be subjected to it. It's just annoying that it's almost always portrayed in either a negative or sexual light.
