reusing pump? PIOG

Can I re use my pump from my last baby? I bought one for my first and I think I tried using it for my second but it didn't work right and milk flew out of every hole! So I bought a second pump for my second baby. Can I use it for #3? I don't plan to need it because I'm a SAHM now but it case I get to go on a date with hubby or need a sitter... What are the rules on that? Any ideas?

How`s my pregnancy doing?

Sure, just make sure all parts that touch your milk are clean first!

YUP IF ALL YOUR PARTS ARE IN GOOD CONDITION, THERE IS NO REASON WHY YOU CAN'T OR SHOULDN'T. THEY ARE BUILT TO LAST, NOT BE THROWN AWAY EVERY TIME.

I would replace valves if your has some.  Those deteriorate over time even in storage.

Generally motors last a year with full time use...now does that mean they can't last years and years NO, but its not guaranteed.

For a SAHM it should be prefectly fine to reuse a pump with only a few minor purchases to refresh it.
