clogged boob

Hi ladies,

So I went for a feeding session and my left side will not give out any milk. It's hard as a rock and it was working this morning but now its not. It hurts really bad when I try to pump or have him latch on. Could it be a blocked duct and is there anything I can do to A: get the milk and B: to stop the pain?

Thanks Ladies I'm still new at this and I'm trying to figure it out!

Hot shower, hot compresses, and even when it hurts keep trying to nurse and pump that side.

its engorged but that can cause a clogged milk duct or mastitis. warm compresses or a warm shower and than nurse/pump/or hand express some milk. it may take awhile to get some milk out...but once it starts coming it will keep on going lol

Warm compresses and try to get baby's chin to point toward the clog when nursing. Massage the clog while nursing.
