I accidentally left my pumped milk from work on the counter and forgot to put it in the fridge. I left it out for about 4 hours but it was still cool when I just noticed it. It smelled fine.

Is it good still? What can I do to find out?

Please help! I need to know if I need to dethaw some.

i think you are fine.  i think it's 8, maybe even 12 for freshly pumped at room temp.  i have definitely left mine out longer than 4.

I've heard 5 or 6 hours, or even longer. Depends who you ask.

It should be fine.. especially if it was not an excessively warm room! :o)

Oh my gosh, the other day I worked a long day and pumped A LOT of milk. I was so tired when I got home that night that I forgot to put it in the fridge. When I woke up that morning and realized I had to dump all of it, I about died! I felt like I was pouring Dom Perignon down the drain!! I feel your pain : )
