A crucial question!!

I have to have the chicken pox, measles, Mumps, rubella and mud vaccine on Wednesday and I suddenly realized today I'm Breasfeeding my 15 m/o DD! Has this happened to you? Is it ok to have those vaccines? What about my DD? Shoul I stop cold turkey? Should I pump and dump? Help pleaseeee!

I am such a blind woman! Lol I read that page 2 min ago and did not see the part where it says it's safe! Lol still am afraid of my baby, is that bad??? New mom you know!

I got it in tge hospital 3wks ago and was nursing so I'm pretty sure it's safe! FYI, the spot I got it in swelled to the size of a softball, was red itchy and hurt like an sob for two long weeks!

Well, I'm a worry wort too so I understand you. =) Essentially they are boosting your immunity, not actually a substance that passes into your blood through breastmilk.

If it makes you feel any better, I got the DTaP vaccines before leaving the hospital when my LO was born. She was brand new and we had no problems. . .

Yeah, I think you should be OK.  They gave me the DTaP right after DS was born and I was nursing and had no problems.  They also gave me the pneumonia and flu shots when DS was about a month old, again, no problems.  Better to take the vaccines and stay healthy for your little one, rather than risk getting sick, as long as there are no problems.
