I'm new to the group and I'm not sure if this has already been asked but when did you start solids or when do you plan on starting solids?

Thanks

i started introducing them at 5 months. but only every now and then. he's 6 months now and i'm starting to do a meal a day. usually dinner. but i haven't cut back on my nursing. i feed him before for a couple minutes and then after he eats his veggies i nurse him again to make sure he's full. i'm not really feeding him to supplement more to show him new things.

My dd is 5 months and I give her rice cereal every now and again but I think she's ready to kick it up a notch.

Started with rice cereal at 5 1/2 months... She's now 7 and I make her food but I give her everything! She loves peas! Those are her fave!! But I'll sometimes do chicken breast and veggies or veggies medley! She loves it!

My oldest was 10 months, my middle was 8.5 months, and my twins are 7.5 months and we haven't started solids yet! We will start in a month or so. We will skip rice cereal and go straight to fruits and vegetables.

Six months is the recommendation of the American Academy of Pediatrics for a breastfed baby. Solids need to FOLLOW nursing... they are "dessert" rather than a main meal.

6 months a taste here or there (whole foods not pureed) things like pear slices, 7 months she had food 3-4 times per week, 8 months she was getting food daily and now at 10 months she gets anywhere from 1-3 meals with us per day depending on what she's doing when we eat.

8 and a half months and he wants nothing to do with food. he's very chunky so not worried.
