Any ideas of what to do to help her go more?
This may be a little nasty, but what we did was put our DD in her baby tub with water covering her belly. Then we massaged her stomach and she just went to pooping in the water! Very nasty for us, but made her feel A LOT better. Sometimes we would also bicycle her legs.
Thanks!
BELIEVE me when I say we were NOT FOND of that idea either, but we got results. We also did Mylicon drops. My family kept telling me to try them and I was against giving her medicine, but then even her pedi suggested it. So we tried that too and it worked

We do the bicycle every night and nothing but gas. Not so kean on the bath tub but if it works and makes her feel better I'll try that.
Thanks!

The rice cereal damaged her virgin gut, do not give fortified stuff to bf baby it messes with the way iron is absorbed from your milk. Get some infant probiotics and nurse nurse nurse at five months I can see her going maybe once a week. As long as she's not in pain or pooping hard pellets she's fine
Agreed. If she's screaming when she poops and it's hard pellets, prunes might be needed. If not, I'd quite giving her any solids at all and let the breastmilk heal her little gut. My kids only pooped about once a week from 3 mos on, but it was soft, normal breastfed poop.
