Do you go outside?  Take baby outside in direct sun for 90 min a week and baby will get plenty of Vit D, its best made by your body from sunlight.  If you can not go outside enough in a week then plain vit d drops not multi vit kind are fine..Carlsons or Just D are good

You can supplement yourself with 2000 to 4000 IU/ day, according to studies referenced on kellymom.com:

We go outside plus I take calcium with vit D. The ped keeps sending in a script to the pharmacy I just smile and nod and don't pick it up.

Not needed. Just a few minutes of sunshine daily will suffice. :o)
