Is he weaning???

For the past week my ds has been refusing his milk that I pump while at the babysitter's house.I trust her when she tells me this but he nurses like crazy when he is home with me.So my question is that is it like the concept "out of sight out of mind" when he is with her but then remembers mommy's milk when i pick him up? Or is this a start to weaning? I have never nursed this long so I really have no clue. Thanks in advance for any advice or info!!

Reverse cycling is a possibility.

Yes, it is totally an out of sight, out of mind thing. My son goes to his dad's for 1-4 days without nursing and still nurses plenty when he's with me.

Doubt it's weaning, weaning is when they start to refuse when you are present and offering to nurse.  My dd can go hours without me around and not drink milk but she loves to nurse :)

I was really hoping it wasn't the start to weaning because I am not ready for him to stop.I feel very relieved now.

This is reverse cycling and many kids do it, doesnt mean hes weaning just means he prefers mom.  What does he drink when there?

I'd say it's probably reverse cycling or a preference for mommy.

At 16 months, it is very unlikely that he is weaning.
