Wow that's a lot!  You're going to be gone more than 12 hours?

That's what I thought! 16 oz means 16 hours away from mom.

That is already enough for an 8 hour day! Leave 2 3oz bottles at most, unless you're going overnight. Baby only needs an oz to oz and a half per hour apart. So 4 hours= 4-6 oz in small increments, like 2 oz bottles.

How long are you going to be gone?  You only need 1-1.25 ounces per hour between feedings.  Nursing right before you walk out the door and immediately upon your return decreases the amount needed.  Three 2-2.5 ounce bottles would be plenty for 8 hours away if they are given every two hours.

WOAH..how long will you be away?  Are you leaving him for almost 24 hours? 16 oz is enough for 16 hours away from baby...yuo do NOT need to leave her that much!!

You do NOT need that much!  Your MIL is WRONG!  You might need two bottles, if that and NOT four ounce bottles.  If you are gone for four hours and you nurse right before you leave and as soon as you get back, you can give ONE 2 ounce bottle at the mid way point and be FINE!
