How often does your baby breastfeed? How many times in a typical day?

my baby is 3 months old & typically she will nurse about 6 or 7 times a day. Each day is different too though. Sometimes it may be more and sometimes less.

during the daytime, 5-6 times a day....a little more if he gets hurt.

24 hour period (sleep nursing too), about 11-12 times a day.

and he's 9 months old

Are your nursing sessions pretty long then? Like 20 minutes or so?

There are times when my little guy is sleepy so I wake him every three hours, or every four at night. As a preemie who only weighs 7 lbs 9 oz, I don't like to let him go too long. When he's more alert he'll nurse every 11/2-2 hours, for a total of 12-15 times a day. I also offer him a supplemental bottle of breastmilk every three hours with about 2 oz. He is 4.5 months but his adjusted age is two months.

I have a nursing toddler who usually nurses when waking up in the morning, falling asleep at naptime, waking up at naptime, falling asleep in the evening, twice in the night (once for one side, then later on for the other), and on occasions where his body or feelings got hurt.. :o) So.. a minimum of six times in each twenty-four hour period.

My daughter nurses every hour if we are home. At night, usually 2-3 times she will wake to nurse, but i am trying to cut that out... so within 24 hours, my 23 month old nurses about 12-18 times.

ME THREE AND A HALF NURSES ABOUT EVERY 3 HOURS. SOMETIMES WHEN HE FALLS A SLEEP NURSENG HE WILL WAKE UP AND NURSE AGAIN, AND SOMETIMES HE WILL NURSE FOUR HOURS LATER. IT ALWAYS CHANGES. HE SLEEPS THROUGH THE NIGHT SO I HAVE TO PUMP, SOMETIMES I WILL BRING HIM TO MY BED JUST TO FEED HIM CUZ I DONT FEEL LIKE PUMPING.
