I've never had an issue with nip, and usually will just find a place to sit wherever I am. But today at the grocery store I had baby AND my 3 yr old with (something I try to avoid) - we were almost done, Meghan was signing "milk", and the chairs in the furniture department looked SO cozy. . . But my 3yr had ants in his pants and there was no way he was going to let me sit there and nurse quietly. . . So we checked out, I got ds strapped into his carseat, and proceeded to sit in the front seat nursing Meghan. I got a couple of funny looks from people passing by, and I just wanted to shout "I want to be inside doing this, but it's all my son's fault!" Lol
Anyone else ever been thwarted by their squirrelly kids? :D

All the time. my ds just turned three and my dd is almost one. weve had to sit in the car to nurse many times! it is like a vacation when i only have one at a time!
ALL. THE. TIME.
The main reason I rarely NIP'd was my kids. I have 4 total, and when my youngest was born, they were 5, 4, and 2. Oh, and the oldest has poor impulse control. Each of the older ones are 18mo apart. I got away with it with my 2nd (1st I was too shy to NIP), since I could trap #1 in the stroller, but once we got to #3....the logistics were daunting.
BUUUUTTT....my favorite NIP memory is Christmas 2008 at the mall, after Santa pics and Christmas pics. Sitting on the floor next to Auntie Anne's pretzels with the three older ones and the LO on the boob. It was truly a Christmas miracle that the three older ones sat there while lil bro had a snack. Perhaps it was the prezels that dad was buying them that kept them still ;)
I have to nurse in the car alot! Most of the time one or both boys are acting up so I strap them in their seats and turn on a dvd. Then I get to nurse in peace! LOL
Oh, sure. I've nursed my son probably three or four times in the car, with my daughter chatting happily beside me or behind me. lol It's not an issue now, because he's three months old. I just push the seat back and he goes to town. :)
My oldest was 6 1/2 when his brother was born, so he was old enough to understand that I needed to take care of his brother. It was really easy to nurse while running errands once I got my mei tai and could just nurse and keep going.
