Just found out yesterday my 3 month old has RSV, causing her to have bronchiolitis.
We've made it through so much, I'm not about to give up now, but man this stinks!
She can only nurse for a few moments or she gets too much in her tummy and throws it all up. :-/
Luckily my 17 month old still nurses so I've been nursing her more often. Which actually works out great because she has pneumonia and she's not eating many solids yet.
I'm also pumping so I can try to keep my supply up.
Anyone else deal with RSV? How did you handle it?

Steam should help. Breastmilk in the nose is good too. Keep nursing frequently to keep her hydrated.

I'm so sorry you're dealing with this. Both of mine are on their second cold in 2 months. LO is 3 months old I was using saline on my LO and finally tried the bm straight from the tap / boob...lol and it works sooo much better. Also I've heard the nosefrida is an awesome booger suctioner. I'm about to order one from amazon. Hope they get better ASAP this winter has been the worst.

My DD had RSV when she was 3 months old. No amount of steam or nasal suctioning would keep her unstuffed enough to eat. I would always offer her the breast immediately after sucking her nose out and then pump like crazy after feeding her. It only lasted a few days and both her and my supply bounced back beautifully.

Mine was in the hospital for a week and home on oxygen for over 2 weeks after we were home.. He didn't nurse, I pumped until he was off oxygen.( he was a preemie and only 3 weeks old)

Oh no! It's so scary when they're little!
My first baby had it when he was one month old and he almost died. They kept sending me home telling me he just had a cold and I believed them until he turned blue. They sent me home after that and I took him to another hospital 2 hours away and they admitted him.

Shoot some breastmilk up LO's nose to help relieve nasal congestion. Nurse in a steamy bathroom & experiment w/ positions. Depending on the illness baby may be more comfortable nursing in an unusual position that helps the mucous drain in a different way.
Poor kids! I've got a snufflelump on my hands as well.
