Are breast pumps supposed to hurt when you pump? Just wondering. We were playing with my pump and I put it to dh's boob md he giggled. So I tried it out since I wonder what it felt like and it hurt.

Turn down the suction if you can.

Usually if it hurts the horns are too big or too small.  Do you nipples rub against the side?

No it shouldn't. What kind is it? A lot of the cheaper brands that you buy at Babies R Us, Walmart or whatever, can actually cause nipple damage.

You should be able to adjust the suction so it isn't painful.

I have a Playtex Petite Double Pump. If they make different sized horns then maybe that's the issue. No where around here sells them.

I've looked. No where has anything other then the pump or storage bottles. Everything else has to be ordered through the store and the store is down.
