I have awful pp acne. Anyone else? I'm considering trying proactive- anyone tried it before? Did it work?
Is it safe while bf'ing?

I do not typically have acne..

Proactiv never worked for me. Most everything I tried didn't. I started doing the Oil Cleansing Method pp and my acne is practically non existent. You can Google for how to do it.

Proactiv worked for me. I noticed a difference within the first week. The only thing that sucks it that you have to keep buying it every month. So needless to say my acne is back.....grr :l

I have struggled with acne all my life and proactive never worked for me. I use something called "acne free" which you can get at the drug store, same concept but better product. Yes you have to use it everyday and buy it about every month otherwise it comes back...good luck

Used proactive for a year and it never improved my skin, I used it so long out of hope. It was a waste of money

Topicals are safe unless you're putting them on your nipples. Better and cheaper than proactive: Benzamycin. Available by prescription. It's a cream, and the only downside is that it must be refrigerated. But it cleared me up PERMANENTLY within a couple of weeks; my acne was gone.

I had pp acne too, but it cleared up after a month or two when my hormones leveled off a little. I just used neutrogena pink grapefruit acne wash, I still use it once or twice a week. I also use the clarisonic skin care brush, it keeps my skin really clear and its the only thing that gets rid of my blackheads, but it was a very expensive investment.

Proactiv works great for me, I also purchase green tea moisturizer, tinted moisturizer & loose powder. I have no acne but those help with evening out skintone.
I am pregnant & its completely safe because its topical on your face.
Good luck!

The only Proactive product that worked fir me was the mask. Other then that it just really dried my skin out and made more problems

I used proactive before I had kids. It cleared my acne well (including stubborn blackheads) but caused my skin to darken in several spots and turned my chin orange (think 'bad fake tan' orange). Both issues went away within a few weeks of stopping proactive.
