Selfish reason to NOT breastfeed?

My best friend is pregnant and she keeps coming up will all of these lame excuses to not breastfeed. It's really starting to bug the crap out of me. Considering all she has been through and this baby is a MIRACLE baby I would think she would want to give this baby nothing but the best and it just doesn't seem that way.

So what are some selfish reasons have you heard for not wanting to breastfeed?

**Edit- My friend says that her DH loves her breasts (yes as sexual objects) and she doesn't want them to become a "sore" spot in their realtionship. She also what's her sleep. And she actually said to me the other day that "the whole latching on and suckling thing was too much to think about when she can just go make a bottle and stick it in the babies mouth!" I wanted to slap her!

In 2007 she was diagnosed with lymphoma she underwent 6 months of chemo. It came back in 2010 she underwent more chemo and a stem cell transplant. She is worried about all she has had in her body, that she shouldnt breast feed. Now I'm not sure about that. Is not safe for her to breast feed? She is NOT undergoing ANY treatment what so ever?

Wanted to return to her former lifestyle of smoking, drinking, and getting high. I think she had the baby for 2months before cps took her and gave baby to her paternal grandma. Some people should be sterilized >:(

The "I want sleep" one made me LoL, you still have to get up and feed the baby at night if you ff!! Lol. Also bf will help you get your pre-baby body back!!

Ya... that made me LOL too... I got to the point with DS that I would feed him, change his diaper and never have woken up. haha...

A former friend of mine refused to even try it because she just thought the whole "baby sucking on nipple" was really wierd. One excuse that upset me tho was my cousin's girlfriend was asked if she was going to breastfeed and she looked all offended and said something like "Ugh no, I get all the free formula I want from welfare".

I've heard that people have this strange misconceptin that it's the "Poor alternitive" and that only people that can't afford formula BF... 

Personally that pisses me off... SO what if it's cheaper, it's also BETTER for the baby...... kind of like a daily run is better than running on a treadmill. *shrugs*
