I left a bag of milk at my mom's house to use with DD during the week when she picked her up. But she was unable to pick her up. Sat I was going to put it in the freezer when I went to look for it, it was gone. I asked, "oh it looked bad so I threw it away. I wasn't going to feed *that* to her". Umm. WHAT?! It was watery, thin, swirly looking and she thought it was bad so she just used the fresh bottles. Apparently she doesn't know that milk separates. So sad to see it wasted. I would have at least fed it to the dog :)
I wish I could find the funny for this right now that says "Whoever said there's no use crying over spilled milk never pumped 8 ounces and then accidentally dumped it''. lol
Your mom is my mom.
My mother once threw away about 10 ounces because it was "tainted" with Cincinnati chili that I ate. She high fived my father in front of me for her "smart thinking".
My mother stopped caring for my daughter shortly thereafter.
I dribbled on my desk last week while I was pumping. I wasn't paying attention and the bottle overflowed. I sat there and stared at the milk (maybe half an ounce) and felt tears in my eyes. lol

LOL. I've done that or bent over and spilled some out through the tubing. Gah!
Oh no! My DF has accidentally done that. He saw a bottle laying out in the same spot as the one we used in the morning and thought it had been sitting there all day. So he pitched it. I freaked out and he said "it wasn't even cold- it was warm!" I said "YEAH I JUST PUMPED IT!" Now he asks everytime he sees a bottle.
