Many nursing moms are told to avoid certain "treats" like chocolate, coffee, and alcohol but most experts agree that any of those can be enjoyed while breastfeeding - in moderation!*
What is your favorite way to (responsibly) indulge?

*Too much caffeine can result in a restless baby, some moms find that chocolate makes their nurslings gassy, and alcohol passes into breastmilk. Read what LLL has to say about caffeine (including chocolate) as well as alcohol consumption to find out how much might be too much.
You hit it right on the nose for me LOL... chocolate and coffee are my weaknesses. I have always had a hard time face to face with either.
I try to use a big cup which holds about 2 cups of coffee and it helps me sip it slower.
I don't buy chocolate. So it usually isn't an issue until holidays (like today :/ ).

I generally don't drink but if I do it is a glass of wine and I follow the guideline of "Safe to drive, Safe to nurse".

Well I don't really like to drink, but will with my husband on occasion, but I like to make myself daquiris (I guess that's what htey are lol) Just take a little strawberry rum, and pour some of it in the blender and mix in some strawberry margarita mix and some frozen strawberries. Me likey.
As for chocolate, if you like dark chocolate then it's okay to have alittle of that I'm sure. I guess it depends what kind of person you are. I'm one of those that will start and can't just be satisfied with one little bit, but I like chocolate ice cream and an occasional bar of milk chocolate is okay too.
