DS is super sick. Hes 3. I thought it was just a cold. So I've been treating it like a cold. Today after his nap some thing was just wrong. Just really really wrong. So I immediately called his dr.
It was already 4 & she squeezed him in right away. He has a chest infection and congestion with his cold & she gave him a breathing treatment right there.
I told her I had the cold last week.
Then she turned to me and said- you're still nursing your DD aren't you? I said yes. She asked if I responded to a pump at all. I told her a little. She said, you know, since you already had this and beat it you can pump an ounce or two and give it to him. It just might help him beat this faster.
Love her!!! How many other pedis will suggest breastmilk for an older child's illness?? Not many I'd wager.

Thats so awesome! My pedi is like this too, shes a mother of six and breastfed them all! She dosent use the dreaded "chart" and she recommends breastmilk for just about everything. lol. Pink eye? "squirt", Ear infection? "squirt". Lol. Shes so great.

Lol! DH came home & asked about giving DS some breastmilk! He's been a little weirded out before when I suggested BM too! Lol he googled it. Hahaha
