I wanna BF!!!

my due date is may 23 and this is my 3rd child and i really wanna BF...i never BF before but im really anxious to try...my nipples hurt really bad now and they only felt this bad after i gave birth...what can i do to ease my nipple pain?

Letting bm air dry on them is the only thing that worked for me

use Lanolin cream. I like medela's and its $10 at target or Walmart

Warm water on them, or an ice pack wrapped in a towel worked for me.

You may have colostrum. Have you tried squeezing a little out? I never leaked but I could get a couple drops out later in pregnancy (which is not an indication of ability to bf if you don't btw)

I put my thumb on the top of my breast closer to the chest wall and my four fingers on the bottom then slowly, gently squeeze down towards the areola. If nothing comes out don't get discouraged or force it. If clear/yellow/white liquid does lightly swirl it around your nipple and then let air dry.

 No cream, it can make it worse. Try not wearing a bra. Your nipples may get sore from a tight bra, from being warm, or from chemicals in the fabric or things you wash it in.
