So today at work I was pumping to get the baby's milk for tomorrow, and when I was done pumping I come out of the pumping room, and into the bathroom where I run into this woman I work with, she asks me how the baby is I say she is great already 4 months old, she proceeds to tell me that I should start giving the baby formula now before she doesn't like it and refuses to take it, I say she already doesn't like formula and she won't drink it, and she says well you need to make her drink it cause the baby needs milk.. I say but I am pumping breast milk for her, and she tells me well no that is not good, she needs milk to help build her bones, I say well she gets vitamin D supplements, she goes well you are gonna dry up and then what are you going to do, I said as long as I nurse her and continue to pump we will be fine, and she says again the baby needs MILK.. so I say well my boobs aren't producing apple juice... she gets everything she needs from me MY MILK... which formula is no comparison... I just love how uneducated people are,  That was the first negative conversation I have ever had regarding breast feeding, everyone else thinks it is the greatest thing ever...

Lol. Ask her why cow breastmilk is better for a baby than human breastmilk? I'd love to see the puzzled look over that one.

Ugh. I'd say "well, my baby isn't a cow so she doesn't need cows milk. She's human and needs human milk"

Some people have no idea.

Ha. "Did you know breastmilk provides 100 percent of nutrients my baby needs for the first year and 75 percent for 18 months? Did you know formula is missing over 100 ingredients?" So much fun to tell people like that real facts :)

I know that talking in the bathroom may be "normal" for women but I never thought that it was normal to tell people how to raise their children...especially when their opinions weren't asked.

LOL WTF. My father was convinced I was going to be done nursing by the time my DS was 6 months old. He was like oh he will be eating so much by then! Now he's convinced I will stop when DS gets teeth. He didn't believe me when I said babies can't bite while actively nursing. LOL

I take all of his BS with a BLOCK of salt.
