I posted in another group and someone suggested posting here for advice as well. My son is just over three weeks old. He is waking every hour at night during the day he wil sometimes sleep for two hour streches. I am exhausted! I know waking up frequently w a newborn is to be expected but is every hour sometimes less normal? He is nursing well, having plenty of wet and dirty diapers, is burped after nursing but grunts lot in his sleep and is waking alot. My ololdest slept for two hour stretches and seemed to sleep soundly. I am at stumped and could really use some advice! Thanks

This is completely normal. Every baby is different. As long as diapers are good, all is well :-)

Btw, my oldest slept 6 hours at night from day one, but my next woke up over 10 times a night the whole first year, youngest was inbetween those extremes. All three are/were breastfed. It's the baby, not the food :-)

100% normal. Welcome to the three week growth spurt. This is why we recommend cosleeping. Done carrectly, it's safer than a crib or bassinet, and gives baby free access.
Make sure you're not doing anything that's not directly related to the continued breathing of yourself, your baby and any others in the family who cannot shift for themselves. If a visitor comes over, admission is a chore or a casserole. If someone wants to help you, ask them to do a load of laundry or something like that. You're still in your babymoon.
