My poor boy!

Andrew (10 years old) came home from school on Wednesday throwing up. This is the boys' week with their dad. I kept Johnathan with me the last two nights so their dad could take care of Andrew. Johnathan just woke up am hour ago and threw up. :-( He has hardly ever been sick besides allergies in 4 years. I know that nursing is the best hydration for him, but he's supposed to go back to his dad's in the morning. I'm not sure if I should keep him here or not. I don't think it would be good if my mom caught this. My sister and her four boys also live in another part of the house and they get sick ALL THE TIME.

I let him nurse and said just a tiny bit. He took me literally and just sucked a few times. He went wet sleep then threw it up a while later. :-( He's sleeping again now. I'm afraid to go to sleep. I already cleaned up a huge mess. At least there's nothing really left in his stomach.

:-). I think it's inevitable that everyone will get it. We thought we might escape it- but dd threw up an hour ago.

I thought it was food poisoning since Andrew's only symptom was vomiting.

POOR kiddo, I bet its Norovirus, look it up..its going around my WHOLE family had it.  The ONLY ones who did not dehydrated were the nursing baby and the ONE child who did not get sick(he was the one I nursed the longest though)

I guess that means I should keep John with be so he can nurse, huh? He doesn't nurse much anymore and doesn't always when I offer.

I would if it were me. It's inevitable that everyone get it anyway, and any amount of nursing would probably help him get over this quicker. Poor little man, :(

I know. I'm trying to not be selfish. This was supposed to be my weekend without the kids and sleep in. I KNOW he will benefit more from being with me and nursing. I don't think his dad knows that he still nurses unless the boys talk about it when they're over there.
