It all depends on your digestive system. You breakdown food, pass it to small intestine where your body begins to absorb nutrients and it goes through your blod stream and constantly changes your milk. Your milk isn't stored there its constantly changing. There is no set time in any person. Usually a "normal" healthy digestive tract can move food from your stomach to your small intestine in approx 2.5 hours. It can stay in your blood stream for weeks though. Like dairy. I would consider an elimination diet if you are concerned. Are there any other issues besides rashes? Stools, congestion? Anything?

if there are no other issues besides "rash" then look at laundry soap, regular baby washes or soaps, pet or environmental allergies, synthetic fiber clothing as apposed to cotton etc....

It can be pretty much immediate.

Where is the rash? If it's around her mouth and if she has a red ring around her anus, then a food allergy is a possible culprit. If it's on her body (trunk/neck/etc.) then it's probably more likely an allergy to something that is touching her.

Its on her face and around her neck. Her bum is free and clear from all rash

Nope. Its just the rash. She had sry cheeks but that cleared up, now it's just the rash. And it comes and goes

Sounds more like a heat rash, or an allergy to whatever soap or lotion you use. Normally a food allergy rash covers the whole body, not just one spot. My son is allergic to beets, when he or I have them, he gets little dots over his whole body.
