So I breastfed DD#1 for a couple of weeks when she was born in 2007. I quit because there were so many issues going on with me at the time. I had to have an emergency c-section after 18 hours of labor and I lost a ton of blood. I just didn't recover well after that and on top of it, developed postpartum depression. I feel bad for quitting now, but at the time, it seemed like the way to go.
Well jump to February 9, 2012. I gave birth via c-section to DD#2. 7lbs 15oz & 20.5 inches long. When we left the hospital she was down to 7lbs 8oz. I chose to try and breastfeed again and this time I am determined to go for at least a year. Well it has been a month now, and the breastfeeding has been a success. A couple bumps and some questions came up, but overall, has been great.
At her 4 week checkup she weighed 10lbs 9oz and was 22inches long. Everything was in the 90th percentile. I know it may not be a big deal to some folks, but thought I would share. I am proud of myself and am loving it :)

Update :) 2 month checkup!
Well we have made it to 2 months and I am loving it. Couldn't ask for more. We took her to her 2 month well baby check up and she did awesome. Feeling the affects of the vaccines though, poor baby. Been really fussy and what not. But her stats are 23 inches long and 13lbs 14oz! lol doc said I just have super milk because dd is doing amazing. Go us! lol
Update: 4 months! Woot have made it to 4 months. Everyday that passes I am more and more proud of myself. I never imagined I could actually do it this long. She had her 4 month checkup on the 11th and she came out at 25 3/4 inces and 17.07 pounds! She is doing amazing well. Her nursing has slowed down a bit, she is teething, and she has been getting up again at night, but we are taking it one day at a time :)
and one with her and her sister Arianna!
