I have been nursing my 2 month old we have had a challenging expierence. My DS is a gassy baby so I had to cut out a lot of foods he would wake up every hour for almost a month on and off. I wasn't getting much sleep making me lose my sanity and causing me to want to give up and give him formula. I am not going to lie I gave him formula maybe 4 times since birth and he has maybe drinked 1-2 ounces thinking it would help him but it really didn't. I had many breakdowns and times I felt so alone because my bf wasn't being really supportive/helpful. I also drove myself crazy thinking my supply was low and I wasn't doing things right. But reading other people's stories, knowing how much better breast milk is for him, doing lots of research and going to a Breastfeeding group has helped me ALOT and I stuck with it sacrificing my sleep because when you have a child that's what your suppose to do make sacrifices! For the first time in 2 month last night he slept for 4 hours!!!! YAY!!! Ladies please don't give up I'm a good example of if you stick with it you can do it. Don't listen to others telling you that formula is better etc or that your not super mom! Yeah you got that but if you feel breastmilk is the best than do it! I also pump twice a day and that has helped my supply grow. My baby is still gassy but not has nearly as bad and we do lots of exercises and that helps him. Well hope my story can give others encouragement!! Breastfeeding is the best!!!
