My daughter who is EBF and is 6 months old tomorrow. She bites the eff out of my boob! I know that she is teething but holy moly! It hurts soooo bad. And I can't just unlatch her cause she bites and pulls and then let's go. All too fast for me to react. And she's such a wonderer. She doesn't like to just eat she likes to arch her back and look at everything. Which is cute but kinda frustrating.
I don't know how all you guys went past this months.

Nursing is serious business time for us. I am a no nonsense breast feeder.

Occasionally I can tolerate the quick smile or nursing sign, but other than that as soon as he starts to slow down, look around, play, etc - he is off the breast.

They learn very quickly when food is involved. I have d-mer so I started nursing manners sooner than most but it is never too early!

Nursing manners, my guy is getting too active right now and he hates being put down in the middle of nursing.  My guy bit me once, I hollered loud and he never did it again.

I don't have D-MER but I feel the same way about nursing:  Eat, and get on with what you want to do.  If you want to play, fine, we'll play, but we will not do it while attached to a nipple!

My dd tried the bite and pull too, usually when she was overstimulated or overtired. what worked for me (because biting even if teething is not ok) was to push her head into my chest if she bit. that way she couldnt pull away and make it worse. she usually released the bit when i smooshed her into me. i would tell her no bite as i did this. she would then instantly open her mouth to latch again but i would cover my breast tell her "gentle to mommy- no bite". if she did it again she got sat on the floor and no boobs for a few minutes. she learned fast and now just me saying be gentle is all it takes for her to ease up or quit messing around. good luck, just be consistent and form. hunger is an awesome motivator!

I just weaned my 9 month old to nights only, and lucky for me, she still has no teeth... LOL!  She bit down a couple times, prob around 6 or 7 months, and I just took her off the boob when she did it.  Good luck mama!!

I take 7 month old Markus off for 5 minutes any time he decides to do anything other than eat. Sometimes he gets mad and othet times he goes about playing. If he plays then I leave him alone until hes ready to eat again. If hes upset then I try after the 5 min is up.

Same here. I taught nursing manners and didn't allow any of that stuff.

My 3 yr old did that at 5 months. My solution was sit in a room alone n cover, she had no distractions. Now with my 6 month old i just put it up n say when you want your milk u can have it.
