foremilk/hindmilk question

I know that separation is normal. Is there too much foremilk, though?

Looks like mine too. Your body makes the milk your baby needs so it's normal for your milk to look different than other women's milk. And it's normal for your milk to look different from day to day.

No, that is fine.

Rule number one: don't ever try and decide anything about the quality or fat content of your milk by looking at it.

Rule number two: don't worry about foremilk and hind milk.

That looks like a TON of fat/hindmilk.    It's like what I pumped with my preemie when he gained 1lb a week for the first several weeks!

Remember, the percetage of fat is usually only about 4% or so... so imagine that as a percentage of the total milk you have pumped.   Usually, you only see a couple millimeters at the top (or, at least that's what I saw normally!).   :)

Looks perfect. It will change throughout the day.If would also be perfect with more fat AND with less.
