If you were going 4 hrs out of town and had doner BM and spending the night for a few days all the milk is frozen....would you get dry ice? How long is BM good after its been thawed?? Thanks ladies

I would absolutely use Dry Ice. I overnighted BM with Dry Ice, and when it got there, the Dry Ice had melted but the milk was still frozen solid. It's too big a risk to lose your entire stash of breastmilk, especially since Dry Ice isn't that expensive. BM IS good for a while after it thaws, but you shouldn't re-freeze it.

Definitely dry ice. Bm is good for 24 hours in the fridge when thawed. Less when at warmer temps.

I would either get dry ice or locate a freezer that I could use. There are some inexpensive portable freezers, or some hotels will make accomodations for frozen breastmilk.

If a freezer is not an option, definitely a yes on the dry ice.
