Now that my son is three months old, can I start my caffeine again?

I read on Kellymom a while back that it takes 3 to 5 days for caffeine to leave a newborns system because they cannot metabolize easily it so it accumulates in their blood. I think it said three to five months it takes14 hours, which is fine because it would be like 1/2 a percent of what I take in and leave his system everyday not letting accumulate.

My question, How concrete is 3 months when it comes to this?

I have no idea, but you would have to kill me before you take my coffee cup out of my hand. And none of my kids have had any issues from it.

I haven't heard of a 3 month guideline. Recent studies concluded that caffeine doesn't bother (most) babies at all. I'll try to find the link, I posted it a few weeks ago...

My son never sleeps so an LC told me he may be sensitive to it so researched it then I cut it out completely.

That was a pretty interesting read. I was shocked when it said that no caffeine was detected in the urine. I hope it's right hahaah. Thanks.
