Do you love breastfeeding? Has it changed your life? Has breastfeeding created a special bond between you and your baby? with pics
Breastfeeding is the best thing ever! I have a total of 6 kids and she is my last baby girl (had my tubes tied) and I really wished I would have bf all my other babies!!!
Feel free to post your breastfeeding pics too and tell us your breastfeeding stories =)
Mommy of 4 handsome boys && 2 beautiful girls!

Quoting rkkeller13:This was our 1st time breastfeeding and one of the rare photos I have of our time together like this, I held him for 8 hours straight. I didn't even let the nurses bathe him right away. You can see his hair is still has birth fluids in it. 4 weeks after he was born I was forced to stop BF due to getting sick and hospitalized under quarantine. I miss that connection so much! It breaks my heart that I didn't get to do what all you ladies did. I'm kidda jealous.
I have longed to be a mother since I was a little girl. To me, breastfeeding has always been a big part of that. My baby dolls were all closet nursers. I have no idea where that came from. It was mostly instinct- although I had seen a few women nurse their babies.
Unfortunately, I only got to experience the real thing at 35 years of age, as I only got married at 30 (not by choice) and my husband lost his job less than a month after we got married. He did not find a steady job for months, and even years after that. I did, however, do as much research on the Internet about breastfeeding, and that was my favourite search topic until I became a mother in 2007.
Both of my Little Guys are/were good little nursers, and we have a very strong bond (I feel) because of the closeness that breastfeeding instills between mother & child.
I know that when the "w" word comes, I will be very, very depressed and sad to say the least, and I am trying to concentrate on the "here & now" for the next few years.
I will be 40 years old in a few weeks, and wish with all my heart that I can have a little Girl of my own to pass all these experiences on to- this has been a very deep desire of mine for as long as I can remember. It seems that their is a very strong male gene in our family, and for the last few generations (on both DH's side & my side) there have only been one girl in each generation. So the odds are very much against us. This generation (on my side of the family), there will be no girls, as my brother also has 2 boys (thankfully).
I hope I have not gone too much off-topic by saying this, but it is all inter-related.
I do love this part of motherhood, though, and this is what I was waiting for so long in my life.

...now I'm kinda jealous!! :)
You were able to hold him first, for a very long time, and before a bath....though we still bf, I didn't know to sayNO when they took him away to bath, and whatever other crap they do!! If I ever have another, I know much better!! Happy Snugglings Mama xoxoxoxo

I am a first time mommy and so far going 4 months strong with breatsfeeding. I love it! DD loves being breastfed. It relaxes her more than anything. Sometimes she gets mad if I start doing other things while feeding her (like playing with my phone). She loves it when I look into her eyes while she is eating lol.

I ENJOY IT! I love Breast feeding my daughter, we become sooo close (: She is my first baby, I am going continue until probably when she a year old, or little over.. Don't know yet..
I'm nursing my fifth baby. I really don't know any different. When I have had to give a bottle in the past, I just found that to be so annoying. So breastfeeding to me is just the easiest, most simple option. I am glad that I nursed. When I had my first, I really had no idea if I would like it enough to stick with it (yes, I am one of those "I'll try nursing" moms). Then with this last baby, I had a pretty bad bout of ante-natal depression that almost made me opt not to nurse at all. Luckily I got my thoughts together when he was about 3 days old and we've been nursing ever since. Due to some health issues, he has had to be supplemented which was such a pain but it did make me realize how happy I am that I changed my mind and nursed him just like i had the others. :)
