What kind did you use and how often did you use them? Did they help you?

I had flat nipples and I did not use a nipple sheild. Both sides had issues, one side imparticular gave me a hard time. I just kept patiently working at it, and allowed baby to help pull out the nipple (and they do). I also pumped before nursing which helped pull out my nipple.

Yep. Wore daily when not nursing for several weeks. 100% difference. Recommend them HIGHLY. I think mine were medela.

Breast SHELLS (not shields) are to flat nipples as gas is to your car; required to make it work!
