In the womanly art of breastfeeding, there is a section about "laid back nursing." It basically involves lying the baby on your chest and letting gravity do the work, with you moving the baby as need to help latch. The claims are that it is less painful, and that the latch is better in most sessions because you're working with gravity instead of the baby trying to keep her head up on your breast as in a sitting position. I'm only 26 weeks pregnant, but this sounds like something I would like to try immediately after delivery. Anyone ever try it?
Did it for MONTHS. Highly recommend it if you have fast letdown.

I was worried about where the baby's head would go but he can still kind of rest it on my arm while keeping it upright.
I have no issues or problems with doing it.
