Fresh pumped BM good in fridge for 5 days???

 I pumped today and dont work again til Tues. Is the BM ok in the fridge that long??

 It is good in the back of the fridge for 7-8 days.

It's good unless you have high lipase - smell or taste the milk before giving to LO.

what is high lipase ?

It will be fine for eight days, or you can freeze it and thaw it Tuesday.

lipase will make the milk taste a bit soapy and/or smell a bit sour.  it is an enzyme that aides in the breakdown of fats.  it doesn't actually make the milk go bad quicker that i am aware of, but some babies wont drink the milk once the lipase has time to react.  my son was one of these. wouldn't take any of the frozen milk because it tasted soapy, but he never seemed to be bothered by it before it was frozen.

Im weird I only leave for three day max..its not fresh enough after that.

Lipase is an enzyme in breastmilk. A high amount of lipase causes the milk to break down faster. It's not that common, but good to be aware of.
