Medical professional just assumed I FF...kinda sad
I just talked to a nurse at dd's pedi to ask her to fax over a note to daycare saying that dd can't have eggs due to a sensitivity/potential allergy. I told her that she may also have a sensitivity to yogurt, as that's caused a rash at daycare (but not at home, which is odd, but not the issue here). She suggested I have her tested for a milk allergy because:
Nurse: "Is she still on formula?"
Me: "No, breast milk"
Nurse: "Ok because she'll be switching to whole milk and we'll need to know if she's allergic."
So first she just assumed I don't bf and second she assumed I'm going to wean. She's not DD's doctor (who happens to be pro-bf), so I'm not uspet. I just thought it was intresting the way that was handled.
