You did great making it to 7 months!!! It can be challenging!
if you truly want to wean it's best to drop one feeding a week and replace with formula or expressed milk.
If your interested in tips to discourage and resolve the biting issues we can help.

NURSING MANNERS! Put him down when he bites. Say "no". Don't nurse for five minutes then try again.
Weaning will take you weeks. This will take you 1-2 days if you're consistent. :)

Teach nursing manners mama. You're not doing any damage or harm to your baby by teaching him not to bite. Good luck in whatever you decide :)

Then you are going to have major problems. "No" is a word children need to learn. You don't have to yell it, but a firm "no" is needed sometimes. Might your baby cry? Mine does, but it's just because he's mad I won't let him do whatever he wants, like bite me or fall down the stairs.

Ummm wtf? So what you can never disapline or even teach your child right and wrong??? Formula will cost$$$$ remind husband of that. You also don't needbto yell or benmean but firm and stern. A firm no biting that hurts. Stern serious face. End nursing for five minutes will quickly fix the biting problem. You have have to correct his behavior as he grows. And no is a word he needs to learn for his own well being.

Yikes! If you can't correct your child's inappropriate behavior, you are going to be desperate for the relative ease of a biting infant in a very short time. An out of control toddler makes the whole family miserable and it is actually detrimental to your child's emotional well being to not receive any discipline/direction from their parent. If you don't teach him what acceptable conduct is, how will he know how to behave in society?
I'm into gentle discipline and using positive reinforcement of good behavior over punishment, but not teaching a baby that biting isn't acceptable is doing him a major disservice. Would YOU want YOUR kid playing with a child that's a biter who's parents refuse to do anything about it?
I'm sorry to go on like this, but I'm just stunned your husband is in favor of formula feeding (not bad, but also not as good for baby) and not teaching your child that biting isn't ok. It's like 2 negatives when you could just teach him not to bite and continue nursing which would be 2 positives.
Like the others said, wean slowly! It's a process that even done quickly should take at least a month. Ideally more like 2+ months.
Good luck!

"won't let you?" Screw that I would tell him when his nipples start getting bit then he has a say. You're going to have big problems if you can't discipline your child.
