I feel like I'm suffocating her when I BF!

I'm rather..gifted in the chest department and it seems no matter what position we're in, DD's entire nose is covered up. The only position that doesn't bury her whole face is we're reclined tummy to tummy but it's extremely uncomfortable for me. I don't really have any place where it's easy or comfy to be in that position.

Any other BF mama's big breasted with this issue? How do you resolve it? I've been holding DD and holding my boob up with my other hand so she can breathe but I also have a toddler so having that one free hand would be a huge help!

I hold my boob down around her nose. If I let go, she can't breathe and unlatches. My LLL ladies said its impossible for them to suffocate but mine would starve instead. Lol.

My milk has regulated and it isn't as much of a problem now.

I had the same problem for the first 6-ish months until my lil man got bigger. I just had to hold the boob in one hand and baby in the other. It was hard with a toddler to chase but it went by quickly.

With my DD she didn't like to be held to nurse so I would cross my legs and cradle her that way and I too am very gifted in that area so I just held my boob and she was good to go.

My sister had that problem and she had to hold her boob until the baby got bigger.

You can press your breast tissue down out right by the babys nose.
Remember baby will always chose air before milk :)

I hold my boob and the baby. Sometimes I rig up a burp rag under my boob to hold it up lol I wish I had smaller boobies :(

I had that issue, and would hold my breast back away from her nose. When she got older she did it herself.

I found the football hold to be wonderful when she was in the first few months as well as laying on my side. now we side nurse or nurse  in the regular position on  the boppy.
