Ehhh doctors don't know much lol. At a year old, solids should really only make up about 25% of their diet. :)

All great ideas ladies!!,.. I'll try all of these:)... My ped told mehe should be eating 3 meals a day plus milk and snacks in between! Poor kid is gonna be so sick of us shoving his face that he won't want to eat ever! So two meals is good u think? Thx!!

They do have while milk Greek yogurt; it usually is called Total. So Fage Total is 4%milk. I think Chobani also has a whole milk. Not all stores carry it however in the fruit flavors. The plain varieties are easier to find.

As long as he's still nursing well during the day three meals aren't necessary yet.  Maybe breakfast and dinner only.

No teeth doesn't mean a thing! lol My kids that had no teeth could still gnaw the crap out of a chunk of meat or veggie that they could hold onto. By 1 all of my kids were eating whatever  we were. I literally just threw a little of  whatever we had on their high chair tray.

This. Though is there a reason he HAS to have three meals a day? I've always just fed my daughter when she's hungry. Some days she eats all day long and others she barely eats anything.

Her favorites are shredded chicken, pasta, and soft veggies.

He can have anything, really. Teeth aren't strictly necessary to eat. Crumbled ground meat, shreddéd chicken or tender beef, soft cooked veggies, pasta, rice, ripe fruit....anything you eat is fine as long as it's not too big or too hard.

With my son I would give him chicken, cooked veggies and fruits to eat. And he didn't have any teeth until he turned 2 years old.

Chicken nuggets, soft veggies, rice and pretty much anything I would eat.

I wouldn't always follow what Peds say regarding good and bf babies. They always give us the advice for formula babies.

BF should still be #1, bf then give food. I let ds tell me (I've learned his actions) if he wants solids. But besides that if it's soft enough he can have it.
