You may have a glass of wine or beer or whatever your little heart desires. All the pregnancy resstrictions disappeared the instant the cord was cut and everything went back ont he table.

Safe to drive safe to nurse. That simple. Not safe to drive, NOT safe to nurse until you ARE safe to drive.

If you're unable to tell when you're safe to drive, no drinking.

I have a beer once in a while to help me relax so I can sleep. I have also taken melatonin and it has never made me groggy.

Lord, yes! Boozie it up, mama!

I like to have a glass of red wine with dinner. Unless we're having fish and mac n cheese; it just doesn't parse. :)

Quoting ktinaza:

Really?! I love beer but haven't drank since I was prego and now BF and he's 9 months old.

Quoting RadnRem:

A glass of wine?   Seriously, I would opt for a glass of wine before anything else.   Heck, if you don't like wine....grab a beer.

Perfectly fine.

Is it because your mind is racing from the day or worrying? Or just plain old can't sleep?

I don't know much about sleep aids while bf-ing but after I had my third DS I just couldn't wind down at night. My ex's brother suggested establishing a routine (just like with a child) so my body would know its time to sleep. Might be worth a shot.

Best of luck!!!

Im not suggesting b/c it makes many too groggy but I take a 1/2 a childs dose benadry (about 6mg, half of the 12.5 kids). I also have no supply concerns. Also, no caffiene after noon.
