My DD is 20 almost 21 months old. She weaned mostly on her own at 19 months. She hasn't had a. Second thought about it for almost two months. And to be honestly..the factor seems to be completely shut down.
Today out of the blue she is snuggling with me and she started asking.
What do I do?
I let her wean on her own and it has been so long since she asked I wasn't expecting her to ask every again...is this normal?

Either let her or not. Whatever you're comfortable with

Yes, totally normal. You get to decide the answer, no right or wrong!

I think a lot of times kids this age just want to hear that the answer is yes, more than they actually want to nurse. Chances are if you let her she either won't know what to do, or she'll take a couple of sucks and then walk away.

Ok thanks ladies. If she asks again I may let her try. But there is nothing there.

So she will probably quickly lose interest!

My niece was doing this after weaning right after she turned 3. For the next 6 months every few weeks she's ask to nurse, her mom would let her, she'd try, say, "no milk!" and walk away.

My DD weaned almost 4 months ago and he asked to nurse the other day. I'm 7 months pregnant so I know it's not what he remembered. She latched on and tried sucking then looked at me and goes "all gone?".

You most likely still have a little milk. It takes longer than two months to truly dry up unless you're pregnant or on estrogen birth control.
