i nursed my son until he was 17 months old. he will be 23montjs on Wednesday. so it's been a few months since we have nurses. well yesterday morning he was in bed with us and moved the sheet and saw my breast(I had taken my shirt off sometime in the middle of the night). well he opened his eyes wide and made this face like "can I have?" I told him "Karter they're all gone bud" he then got sad. I said you can try but there's nothing there lol. he out his mouth there but didn't suckle. but he unlatched and giggled then climbed out of lol. he's so funny.

I'm glad that you let him try. So often they just want to know that they are still welcome, more than they actually want to nurse :-)
