Walking around Target, checking out high chairs, blah blah, and come across this....
hmmm, I find this odd and disturbing, pretty sure that tiny VERY young baby baby almost laying on its back would be MUCH better off....
On that lady's breast!!!

Just to keep it on topic, my littles was happily munching away while chilling in his Ergo:)

I honestly never thought of that as disturbing thanks to the way I was raised.

Marketed for a baby who isn't old enough to sit up, so he can lay back and be fed? Um, I thought that was a minimum requirement for solids. We have a seat like that at my inlaws, and we do recline it when they're little and sitting by us near the table, but just for lounging, not eating. I wonder why they used such a young baby for their product model? I guess to show off the recline?

That's what I was wondering...if my guy would have ever sat still in a happy little reclining seat, I would have been great with
that,lol...but what is this baby 2, possibly 3months?
You'd think FP would be way more up to date on their commercialisms right?

I have this high chair and I live it. Mine really doesn't go that far down though. It only slightly tilts back not enough to make a real difference. I never used it tilted back cause she was able to sit up in her own and had great control of her body when we started solids.

I have no idea what the actual high chair does, is it not crazy that they are publicizing a tiny bitty baby eating solid food on its back???

That's what crazy,lol

Even my big old high chair had a recline, and even from birth we'd put the baby in there with us in the kitchen, if I got the luxury of being able to put the baby down to eat. Mine was really cushioned and I rolled recovering blankets as bolsters on the sides, like they do for a snugger fit in car seats. But I can't imagine feeding solids to a baby that was reclined back! For illustration's sake, they could have pictured this little baby reclined and not eating, and an older baby sitting upright and eating. ;-)

But yes, that baby looks tilted back almost to the 45 degrees like an infant carrier seat.

I did see that but how do we know that this is a 6 month old baby that is smaller.
