A friend convinced me I don't need to try formula, but I don't know what to do. My 1 month old just screams...if he is awake, he is screaming/crying. I have tried kelly mom's tips for OAL and have eliminated any traces of dairy from my diet...admittedly, I haven't given up ice tea...
I am convinced he is colic, could he be? Thinking he was, I googled tips for colic. I purchased colic calm....it seemed to help one day and now he is back to screaming.
Any advice on what could be wrong? What should I do?
Help...

Colic is just a catch phrase. I don't truly believe theres such thing as colic.
If your still taking in dairy products (this includes proccessed foods, you have to read the labels) then it won't improve. You need 4-6 weeks of 0 dairy.
Are you block feeding?

I'm wondering if baby is gaining weight unusually fast? Good catch, LKRA.

Thanks for your help. I have to go to kellymom to understand blocj feeding. I tried laying baby on top to feed...uncomfortable. I would express before feeding until let down. I do the bicycles and infant masssage.
He was 8 lbs 2.5 oz at birth (9/3), and on Monday he was 10 lbs, 4 oz. He has between 8-10 really wet diapers. I previously posted because he wasnt pooping daily, he goes every 3 days.

Any other symptoms?
I found out through bf that my son is allergic to gluten and wheat. So I cut it out and realized I improved lol.
If I had it by cheating or accident he'd cry and scream and be so inconsolable ... Like what you describe. It seemed painful.
I also read chocolate and caffeine can bother them
Try foodlab on yahoo groups.

And try the camilia drops from whole foods. They work wonders
And if you drink chamomile tea it will help baby.
Anything you eat can upset their tummies.
